Galerie Gilla Loercher is very happy to announce the solo show of Chilean artist Gonzalo Reyes Araos.
Working in a multidisciplinary approach, Gonzalo Reyes Araos' practice focuses contemporary forms of communication that have conditioned and redefined human relationships.
"I use elements borrowed from the everyday means of communication - screens, video conference devices - in order to share natural events “broadcasted” through long distances, thus generating parallel and ubiquitous dimensions amplifying the relationships we maintain with spiritual experiences through the technology." Chilean artist Gonzalo Reyes Araos (born 1980) studied at the School of Fine Arts of Valparaíso, CL.
Gonzalo Reyes Araos was awarded the VI Juan Francisco Gonzales prize (CL), the II Corral y su bahia painting prize (CL), the Art residency grant at Seoul Art Space Geumchon / Seoul Fundation for Arts and Culture (KR) and he was shortlisted for the Losito Kunstpreis 2015 (D) a.o.
